The Lake Victoria Basin is one of the most resource-rich and people-dense regions in Africa — and one of the most economically excluded.

Over 40 million people depend on the Basin economy. 70% of Kenya's population is youth, most of them locked out of fisheries and food systems controlled by external forces.

Dala Fish was created to return ownership of food production, income, and economic futures to the communities that were never supposed to lose it in the first place.

We believe sustainable transformation begins at the home (Dala) level: one productive Dala creates stronger families, stronger communities, and stronger local economies.

That principle, applied at scale, is the foundation of everything we are building. The Dala Fish Project gives rural communities something real, not handouts, but a foundation they can build, own, and pass on to the next generation.
